Painting on silks for unique fabric designs.
- 7 x pots of coloured silk paints
- 10 x embroidery rings
- 10 x paint brushes
- 1 x jar for rinsing brushes

Please note for each craft kit hired there is a £2.50 standard hire charge to cover preparation and admin costs. This charge will still be applied if the craft kit is returned unused.
If paying by cheque please make it payable to Cambridgeshire County Council
Place silk in embroidery ring and tighten to make it taught.
Lightly draw a design onto the silk, go over design with silk paste. Let paste dry, it takes a little while.
Once paste is dry, dab in colours, as it spreads once silk absorbs paints.
Option: If you put grains of salt granules onto the wet paint, it creates a marbling effect as it dries.
Wash paint brushes out with water and dry brush each time you change colour.
Fix over by ironing with cotton.
